The Motta Naluns ski area is on 1250-2785 meters high situated ski resort communities Scuol , Ftan and Sent that prepared with 80 kilometers of ski runs and twelve lifts the medium-sized ski areas of Switzerland counts.

The ski area

Most of the 80 kilometers of slopes are easy to moderately difficult; More difficult runs can be found on Mot da Ri and in the area of the Salaniva chairlift. The valley station in Scuol is at 1295 meters, the highest point in the ski area is the Champatsch mountain station at 2785  meters above sea level. M.

Next to the “Naluns” 6-seater chairlift is a snow park for snowboarders and skiers.

The highlight is the ten kilometer long “dream slope” to Sent (1430 m above sea level), which is artificially snowed for three kilometers in the lower part. Other slopes are the moderately difficult valley run to Scuol (5.5 km) and the three-kilometer valley run to Ftan (1684 m above sea level).

The snowmaking system has been greatly expanded since the first artificial snowmaking in 1991. In addition to the valley run, which is now fully snow-covered with lances, other slopes are also covered with snow using lance systems. There are also some low-pressure snow cannons at critical points.

The cable car from Scuol to Motta Naluns replaced two cable cars from 1971 and 1979. It was built in summer 2009 and started operating in the winter season 2009/10. In summer 2010 the 2-seater chairlift from Ftan to Prui was replaced. The old chairlift was transported to the Kyrgyz Orlovka ski region with six 40-tonne semi-trailers from April 2010, where it was rebuilt in the same length as in Ftan and has been in operation there since winter 2010/2011. A new 4-seater chairlift has been in operation in Ftan since then.
