The European cross-country skiing championship (officially Open U18 ESF European Championship ) is an annual open U18 European championship. It is held by the European Ski Association in coordination with the International Ski Association (FIS) .

The first U18 European Championship took place in March 2011, the next ones are always held in December for the coming year. The competitions are held over three days. The U18 European Championship is carried out according to the rules of the FIS regulations of the IWO and the regulations of the OPA .

Conditions of participation

All national associations are allowed to take part in the Open U18 European Championship, which is openly advertised by the FIS. The title of European Champion can only be awarded to athletes whose nation belongs to the Council of Europe (47 nations). No entry fee will be charged for participation in the Open U18 European Championship . There is no limit to the number of participants for the participating nations.
