Skillingaryd is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Jönköpings län and the historic province of Småland .

The place, which belongs to the municipality of Vaggeryd and is one of the two main towns , is about 43 kilometers south of Jönköping on the European route E4 .

Skillingaryd is an industrial town with factories for several large Swedish companies, such as furniture maker Kinnarps . In 2005 the orienteering O-rings took place in and around Skillingaryd .

The place has a train station on the Halmstad – Nässjö railway line .
