Skip Martin , actually Derek George Horowitz (born March 28, 1928 in London , † November 4, 1984 ibid) was a British actor .

Skip Martin, who was born in London as the son of a Belarusian and an Englishwoman, made his film debut in 1957 in the historical film Die Heilige Johanna directed by Otto Preminger . He showed one of his best performances in the Edgar Allan Poe film adaptation of Satanas - The Castle of the Bloody Beast . In the German-speaking countries, the short mime was best known for Harald Reinl's two -part film adaptation of the Nibelungen , in which he was given the role of Alberich . He later worked in horror films such as Circus der Vampire (1972) and Frankenstein's Horror Clinic (1973), as well as in some television series. In order to keep himself financially afloat between the engagements, he also worked as a tobacco merchant.

Martin died in 1984 in his hometown of London, aged 56.
