Skogskyrkogården is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Gamla Enskede district . The station, which is named after the forest cemetery of the same name ( Skogskyrkogården ), is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal working day, 2000 commuters get on here.
The station was put into operation on October 1, 1950 as the 8th station of the Tunnelbana, when the first section of the Tunnelbana between Slussen –Hökarängen was inaugurated. The station is located between Tallkrogen and Sandsborg stations . It is about six kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
