Tallkrogen is an above-ground station of the Stockholm Metro in the district of the same name . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the more moderately frequented stations on the subway network, where around 2,000 commuters board on a normal working day.
The station was put into operation on October 1, 1950 as the 9th station of the Tunnelbana, when the first section of the Tunnelbana between Slussen –Hökarängen was inaugurated. The breakpoint is between the stations Gubbängen and Skogskyrkogården . It is about seven kilometers to Stockholm Central Station .
