Skotbu is a village in the Norwegian municipality of Nordre Follo , located in the province ( Fylke ) Viken . The place has 349 inhabitants (as of 2019).

geography

Skotbu is a so-called Tettsted , a settlement that is counted as one area for statistical purposes. The village is located southeast of the cities of Ski and Oslo in the former Akershus province . In the east of Skotbu lies the border with the neighboring municipality of Indre Østfold .

There is a train station in Skotbu that is served by trains on the Østfoldbanen .

history

Skotbu was mentioned in 1325 as "Skothbuð" and in 1329 as "Skotbud".

Until the end of 2019, the village belonged to the then municipality of Ski , which became the municipality of Nordre Follo on January 1, 2020 as part of the state- wide municipal reform .
