The Skuggekammen ( Norwegian for Shadow Ridge ) is a rugged mountain ridge in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . It rises from Mentzelberg in the eastern part of the Otto von Gruber Mountains in the Wohlthat massif in a south-westerly direction.
It was discovered and mapped using aerial photographs by participants in the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . A new mapping based on further aerial photographs and measurements as well as the naming took place during the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956-1960).
