Slavko Avsenik, Jr. (born April 9, 1958 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian composer , jazz musician (piano, synthesizer) and music producer .

Life

Avsenik, the son of the conductor Slavko Avsenik , played the piano from the age of six and had been taking trumpet lessons since he was ten, but then concentrated on the piano. In 1981 he completed his instrumental studies at the Musikhochschule Graz with a diploma in jazz piano , the further studies at the Berklee College of Music in 1985.

From 1987 he worked as a producer in Austria at KOCH International and then in Germany at Ariolia BMG . From 1991 he worked as a producer at Helidon in Slovenia. From then on he arranged his father's music on six albums for the Junge Original Oberkrainer . He also produced the tracks “On the Autobahn” and “Trompeten Echo” with the pop duo M4M as “Senorita Margerita” and “Lolypop Baby”. He also composed and produced theater and film music , but also wrote children's songs. He also worked as a keyboard player with the jazz rock band Oddelek 8 , with Tone Janša and with the band Laibach , for which he produced six albums.
