The Sleipnir Glacier is a 16 km long glacier on the Foyn coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It flows into the western section of Cabinet Inlet , which it reaches between Balder Point and Spur Point .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey (FIDS) mapped it in 1947 and named it after Sleipnir , the eight-legged horse of the god Odin from Norse mythology. Aerial photographs of the glacier were also taken in 1947 during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948).
