The Spur Point ( English for spur tip ) is a headland on the Foyn coast of Graham Land in the north of the Antarctic Peninsula . It lies at the end of the Heros Peninsula , which extends in a south-easterly direction between the Sleipnir and Beaglehole glaciers on the west bank of the Cabinet Inlet .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey made the descriptive naming in 1947. At the same time aerial photographs were taken during the American Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947–1948).
