The Slipstek is a simple knot that can be tied temporarily.
Names and history
The name "slip" stek comes from the pull-up loop that is called "put on slip ". It actually only consists of this slip or loop with which a single half-beat is tied.
application
The Slipstek is used when something is tied or hung up quickly and temporarily, but needs to be released again quickly. However, the knot only holds up to a limited extent under changing loads. On smaller boats it is often only used with thin lines or string.
