Slok Air International , was a Gambian airline based in Serrekunda and based at Banjul International Airport .

history

Slok Air Gambia was founded on September 24, 2004. Its origins go back to Slok Air , which emerged from the Slok Group from Nigeria . Prior to this, in March 2004, the airline's license was revoked by the Nigerian government. The airline was then dissolved in November of the same year and Slok Air International was re-established in Gambia shortly afterwards.

After a standstill of around three months, flight operations were resumed on February 8, 2008. The machines were overhauled in Addis Ababa because of "technical problems". In mid-July 2008, the Daily Observer of Gambia published an article according to which Slok Air ran into financial difficulties and employee salaries were already two months behind schedule. This also includes information from the online edition of The Point Gambia , according to which Slok Air apparently also had a dispute over open invoices for kerosene deliveries in April 2008.

According to several sources, the company has now ceased operations permanently, and the website no longer exists.

Destinations

Until the end of flight operations, there were flights from Banjul from Abidjan , Accra , Bamako , Conakry , Dakar , Freetown and Monrovia . No flights were recently offered on Mondays and Thursdays.
