The Jümme type is a series cargo ship of the Slovenské Lodenice shipyard in Komárno .

details

The river-going coasters of the Jümme type are designed as multi-purpose dry cargo ships with a deckhouse arranged far aft above the engine room , a long middle and a shorter forward cargo hold . The type has a fixed deckhouse and two box-shaped holds with a total volume of 4516 m 3 , which are closed by electro-hydraulic folding hatch covers and in which two movable bulkheads can be used. The front cargo area is 25.20 meters, the rear 31.75 meters long and both cargo areas are each 10.10 meters wide and 7.45 meters high. The tank cover , which can be loaded with up to 15 t / m², is reinforced for cargo handling with grabs and the transport of heavy goods . The stowage of containers is only provided on the hatch covers of the rear hold.

The ships of the series are powered by a Wärtsilä six-cylinder four-stroke diesel engine of the type 6L20 with an output of around 1200 kW, which acts on a variable-pitch propeller and a shaft generator via a reduction gear . Auxiliary and emergency diesel engines are also available. The berthing and casting off maneuvers are supported by a bow thruster .

The ice-reinforced hulls were assembled in a sectional construction. The ships have a stern that is vertical up to the waterline and slightly overhanging without a bulbous bow .

The units of the Jümme series are mainly used in small and medium-sized journeys, but are approved for worldwide travel.
