Slovenian library

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Slovene Library is a series of books that encompasses Slovene prose from the 19th and 20th centuries. In the first translation, it is primarily accessible to authors who have not yet been translated into German. This is a joint project of the Klagenfurt publishers Drava , Mohorjeva / Hermagoras and Wieser .

Erwin Köstler , editor of the series, initiated the project. Each volume has an afterword and notes. The first five volumes were made possible by grants from the Slovenian Book Agency ( Javna agencija za knjigo ) and the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts and appeared in spring 2013. For financial reasons, it was initially not possible to continue the series, which was originally conceived of 30 volumes a sequel is in progress.
