The Smalegga Spur ( Norwegian Smalegga , narrow ridge ) is a rock spur in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the Shcherbakow Mountains of Orvinfjella, it rises 5 km south-southeast of Mørkenatten .
Norwegian cartographers, who also made the descriptive naming, mapped it on the basis of surveys and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred this designation in 1970 into English, also to avoid confusion with the ridge Smalegga ( English Smalegga Ridge ) in the mountains Sør Rondane be avoided.
