The Smyadovo Cove (English; Bulgarian залив Смядово saliw Smjadowo ) is a 0.9 km wide and 0.85 km long bay on the west coast of Rugged Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is north of Ugain Point and south of the southwestern extension of the peninsula that forms Cape Sheffield .
British scientists mapped it in 1968, Spanish in 1992 and Bulgarian in 2005 and 2009. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2006 after the town of Smjadowo in northeastern Bulgaria .
