The Snøskalkhausen (Norwegian for piece of snow skull ) is a 2650 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In Hoelfjella it marks the south-western end of the Weyprecht Mountains .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition (1938–1939) under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named it, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
