The Snyder Peak is a low and icy mountains in the West Antarctic Ellsworth Land . In the Jones Mountains, it rises 1.5 km southwest of the Anderson Dome .
A University of Minnesota crew that explored the Jones Mountains between 1960 and 1961 named it after the aircraft electrician David Snyder of the United States Navy's VX-6 squadron , who pioneered a Douglas DC-47 from the Byrd in November 1961. Station to the Eights coast was involved.
