The Snyder Rocks are a small group of ledges on the Knox coast of Wilkesland East Antarctica . They rise 3 miles west of the mouth of the Underwood Glacier .
They were mapped using aerial photographs taken during Operation Highjump (1946–1947). The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1955 after Mark G. Snyder, who was involved in Operation Windmill (1947-1948) at the establishment of astronomical observation stations along the Kaiser Wilhelm II coast , the Budd coast and the Knox coast was involved.
