Soatris Island (English; Bulgarian остров Соатрис ostrow Soatris ) is an east-southeast-west-northwestern orientation 400 m long and 200 m wide rocky island off the northwest coast of the Pasteur Peninsula of the Brabant Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located 5 km west-southwest of Cape Roux , 0.8 km north of Metchnikoff Point and 9.6 km north to east of Claude Point .
British scientists mapped it in 1980 and 2008. The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it on 2015 after the ancient Roman settlement of Soatris in northeastern Bulgaria .
