Sockenplan is an above-ground station on the Stockholm Metro . It is located in the Enskedefältet district . The station is served by the Gröna linjen of the Stockholm subway system . The station is one of the less frequented stations on the underground network. On a normal winter working day, 2300 commuters get on here.
The station was opened on September 9, 1951, when the section of the Gröna linjen Gullmarsplan – Stureby went into operation. The station is located between the stations Svedmyra and Enskede gård . The platforms are above ground in an elevated position. It is around 6.5 km to Stockholm Central Station .
