Sofia Asoumanaki

Sofia Asoumanaki ( Greek Σοφία Ασουμανάκη ; * May 25, 1997 in Rethymno ) is a Greek rower .

Sofia Asoumanaki took in 2014 in one of the U23 World Championships in part and finished 13th. Two weeks later she started at the Junior World Championships and reached fourth place. In 2015 she started in the adult class together with Aikaterini Nikolaidou in double sculls . At the European Championships , the two took seventh place as winners of the B final. At the Rowing World Cup in Lucerne, the two reached the A-final and finished fifth. At the Junior World Championships 2015 , Asoumanaki competed in the single and finished second. In a double scull with Nikolaidou, she won the silver medal at the 2015 World Championships behind the New Zealand and in front of the German boat. At the European Championships in 2016 , the Greek women took seventh place. Two weeks later they took third place at the World Cup in Lucerne. At the 2016 Olympic Games , the two achieved fourth place.
