Sofia Frankl

Sofia Fränkl , (* 20th century in Arad , Transylvania ) is a German-Hungarian graphic artist , painter and engraver .

Life

Fränkl graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Timişoara and Bucharest . She lived in Bucharest until 1991, after which she settled in Nuremberg . There she opened her own art gallery in 1996. Since 1998 she has supported the “Living Museum” program of the Albrecht Dürer House in Nuremberg. It demonstrates work with the grave engraver on copper plates and shows old reproduction techniques from Dürer's time.

Invitations in 1976 and 1978 to the International Printmaking Biennale in Krakow .
