Sogrape (Sogrape Vinhos SA) is a Portuguese company that specializes in the wine and southern wine trade . Sogrape is the largest wine trading company in Portugal and one of the largest port wine companies in the world.

history

Sogrape was founded in 1942 by Fernando van Zeller Guedes as the “Sociedade Comercial dos Grandes Vinhos de Mesa de Portugal”. The first product was the Mateus rosé wine . The international success of this wine, which is now Portugal's best-selling wine, was the cornerstone for the expansion of the company, which grew continuously through acquisitions of numerous wineries and brands (including Sandeman , Ferreira ).
