The Sojana ( Russian Со́яна ) is a left tributary of the Kuloi in the northeast of Arkhangelsk Oblast in northwestern Russia .
The Sojana arises on the White Sea Kuloi Plateau at the confluence of its source rivers Kepina (left) and Kotuga (right). It flows in an easterly direction and finally flows into the Kuloi, which flows north, 54 km above its mouth in the White Sea .
The Sojana has a length of 140 km. It drains an area of 5860 km². The river is mainly fed by the snowmelt . The mean discharge 20 km above the mouth is 51 m³ / s. The river freezes between late September and November. In May it will be free of ice again.
At least in the past, the soyana was used for rafting .
