As long as Gallinato
Solange Gallinato (* probably in 1882 as Bernadette Traviers in Dole ; † September 10, 1933 in Amsterdam ) was a Franco - Italian - Spanish opera singer .
Life
Solange Gallinato was one of the most famous operatic sopranos in Europe during his lifetime . She was famous for her "soul-stirring coloratura" (according to her biographer Pierre Lemaitre in "The Colors of Fire") and impressed with the strange phenomenon of basically only singing while sitting after a personal crisis. Gallinato was one of the few female singers of her time who cultivated unaccompanied a cappella singing.
Solange Gallinato was married to the composer Maurice Grandet . She died on the return journey from her last performance on September 9, 1933 in the Berlin Opera (on September 10 on the train to Amsterdam).
