Soledad O'Brien
Soledad O'Brien (born September 19, 1966 in St. James , New York ) is an American journalist . From January 2012 to February 2013 she hosted the CNN morning program Starting Point . She previously hosted American Morning with unrelated Miles O'Brien from 2003 to 2007 .
In the 2016 comic film adaptation of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice by Zack Snyder , she has a cameo in which she plays herself.
Prizes and awards
- For the Discovery Channel telecast The Know Zone , she won an Emmy .
- In 2007 she received the President's Award from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People .
- The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University presented her with the 2008 Goodermote Humanitarian Award.
- In 2006 it was part of Newsweek's cover story "15 People Who Make America Great".
- The Morehouse School of Medicine has presented the Soledad O'Brien Freedom's Voice Award since 2008 .
