Solirubrobacter is a genus of bacteria. It is the only genus in the Solirubrobacteraceae family .
features
The cells are rod-shaped. In the species S. pauli , relatively long cells occur in young cultures , while in older cultures they are mostly short rods. The species S. pauli shows growth at temperatures of 19–38 ° C, S. soli at 15–35 ° C and S. ginsenosidimutans at temperatures between 15 and 37 ° C. MK-7 (H 4 ) is the dominant menaquinone . The cells are immobile. Spores are not formed. All species described so far (2018) are aerobic .
Systematics
The genus Solirubrobacter in the monophyletic family Solirubrobacteraceae belongs to the order Rubrobacteria in the division ( Phylum ) Actinobacteria . The following species are known to date (April 2018), Solirubrobacter pauli is the type species :

ecology
The species are widespread in the environment. Finds of 16S rRNA that closely resemble those of the species have come from a variety of different locations, such as: B. Forest soils, plant roots and intestines of insects. It is probably a widespread genus, which until now (2015) has been poorly investigated.
