SoltyRei ( Jap. ソルティレイ , Soruti Rei ) is an anime - TV series of the studio Gonzo . The series was adapted in the form of a manga and translated into several languages.

action
In a distant future, people will be divided into two groups: registered and unregistered. The two groups are separated by a large wall. Roy Revant , a registered man and bounty hunter, one day finds the robot girl Solty . Solty adapts to people over time and behaves more and more like one. Still, she doesn't forget that she is a robot. Roy begins the search for his daughter Rita Revant with Solty . The trail leads them to Rose Anderson . But she initially denies that she is Roy's daughter.
Production and publication
The series was produced in 2005 by Studio Gonzo under the direction of Yoshimasa Hiraike. The character design was created by Shujirō Hamakawa and the artistic director was Toshihiro Kohama. The series was broadcast from October 6, 2005 by TV Asahi in Japan.
The anime was broadcast in English by Animax Asia and Anime Selects , and in Spanish by Animax Latin America. It has also been translated into French and Portuguese.
The series was published in German by OVA Films and was broadcast by Animax on September 13, 2007.

Manga
Starting in June 2006, the Ichijinsha publishing house in Japan published a manga on the series by the author Noboru Kibuya and the illustrator Takimiya Kazutaka. The adaptation, entitled SoltyRei ~ Aka no Shukujo ( SoltyRei― 赤 の 淑女 - ) first appeared in Gekkan Comic REX magazine and later in an anthology .
