Somayya Jabarti

Somayya Jabarti (* around 1970 in Saudi Arabia ) is a Saudi journalist . She is the first female editor -in- chief in Saudi Arabia.

Life

Jabarti grew up as a child in the United States . She studied English and literature at King Abdulaziz University in Saudi Arabia . After working for the English-language newspaper Arab News for six years, she first moved to Saudi Gazette in 2003 as deputy editor-in-chief , of which she has been editor-in-chief since February 2014.

Her mother was the first woman in Saudi Arabia to do a PhD in mathematics . Jabarti has a daughter.
