Sonaecom is a Portuguese company of the Sonae Group , which was founded in 1994 and only got its current name in 1999. Ângelo dos Santos Paupério is the telecommunications company's CEO. The company is based in Maia near Porto .

Sonaecom is the sub-holding of Sonae, responsible for telecommunications , media , software and system integration (SSI). In their area, the mobile phone provider Optimus with a considerable part of the market and the third largest Portuguese daily newspaper Público are managed.
