Special number

As a special call number is called in the telecommunication a phone number that is not as original subscriber number an ordinary participants - phone connection is assigned.

Calls from participants to special numbers can be flexibly forwarded by the telephone service provider to any location or telephone connection using routing .

Special numbers are identified by special area codes ( number ranges ).

Examples of special numbers are:

National subscriber numbers are not special numbers in the narrower sense - although some of them are referred to as special numbers in the tariff lists of telecommunications providers . Like normal geographical subscriber call numbers and mobile phone subscriber call numbers, these are only used to enable individual subscribers to be reached and, for this purpose, are assigned to a telephone connection as the original subscriber call number.
