Sonic 2 in 1 is a video game collection released by Sega in Europe in October 1995 for the Sega Game Gear . It contains two games from the Sonic game series that were released for the Sega Game Gear in 1992 and 1994.

All games are identical to the corresponding original. There is no menu to switch between games. If you start the Sega Game Gear with the Sonic 2-in-1 module, one of the two games is loaded alternately.

The equivalent of Sonic 2 in 1 for the Sega Mega Drive was Sonic Compilation . The Sonic Mega Collection with a total of 14 games was released exclusively for the Nintendo GameCube . In 2004 the Sonic Mega Collection Plus followed with six additional Sonic games from Sega Game Gear, initially for PlayStation 2 and Xbox and in 2006 for Windows . This version was then also part of 2 in 1 Combo Pack: Sonic Mega Collection Plus / Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (2005, Xbox), Sega Fun Pack: Sonic Mega Collection Plus & Shadow the Hedgehog (2009, PlayStation 2) and Sonic PC Collection (2009, PC).
The Sonic Gems Collection , which was released in 2005 for the GameCube and PlayStation 2, contained nine other Sonic games that were not included on Sonic Mega Collection or Sonic Mega Collection Plus . Another game collection exclusively focused on Sonic games was the Sonic Classic Collection released in 2010 for the Nintendo DS .
