Sonny Hennig

Sonny Hennig (born March 4, 1946 in Mühlhausen / Thuringia ; † August 18, 2019 in Nuremberg ) was a German composer , music producer , singer , guitarist, keyboardist, author and radio host.

biography

Hennig came to Nuremberg with his family as a child . Together with Ernst Schultz , he was one of the most important figures behind the German-speaking rock group Ihr Kinder from Nuremberg in the early 1970s . Several times a week he co-moderated the program Rock Zock on the Nuremberg local broadcaster Radio Gong 97.1 .

In March 2014, part of his memoirs was published under the title ROCKMANNs Erzählungen . Sonny Hennig was also an honorary member of the MUZ - Nuremberg .

In June 2018, Hennig, who was already severely handicapped, suffered a stroke and thus became a nursing case . Hennig passed away in August 2019.
