Sontheim is a district of the city of Ehingen in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg .
The hamlet is about four kilometers south of Ehingen. The federal highway 465 runs through the village .
history
Sontheim is first mentioned in a document in 1262. A family of ministers from the Counts of Berg , later an Austrian family of civil servants, was resident in the village and named themselves after Weisel, Halden and Sontheim (1254 to around 1450).
Sontheim was incorporated in 1973 as a district of Kirchbierlingen zu Ehingen.
