Juri Knorr (born May 9, 2000 in Flensburg ) is a German handball player .

Career

In the club

Juri Knorr started playing handball in the Mini-Mix from VfL Bad Schwartau . He later joined MTV Lübeck. In addition, he played soccer at VfL Bad Schwartau and VfB Lübeck until 2015 .

Knorr returned to VfL Bad Schwartau, where he played in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga . In 2017 Knorr left VfL at the age of 17 and joined the men's upper division HSG Ostsee N / G , who was coached by his father Thomas Knorr . With the HSG Ostsee, he rose to the 3rd division in 2018 . Then Knorr moved to FC Barcelona , where he played for the 2nd team in the second highest Spanish division. On December 4, 2018, Knorr made his debut in the professional team of FC Barcelona against SD Teucro on matchday 13 of the Liga Asobal . On February 1, 2019, he scored his first two professional goals in a league game against BM Alcobendas . With Barcelona he won the Spanish championship in 2019. Knorr played a total of six games in the Liga Asobal, in which he scored six goals. He has been under contract with German Bundesliga club GWD Minden since the 2019/20 season .

In selection teams

Knorr initially ran for the Schleswig-Holstein national team. Later he was accepted into the squad of the German youth national team. With Germany he took part in the U-18 European Championship . There he took sixth place with Germany. Furthermore, Knorr was elected to the all-star team of the tournament. In March 2020, Knorr was invited to a course for the German national team for the first time .
