Max Staar (born August 18, 1998 in Hagen ) is a German handball player .

career

Staar initially played at Eintracht Hagen and in 2013 moved to the TVG Junior Academy, the youth department of TV Großwallstadt, in the B-Jugend . In March 2015, he switched to GWD Minden because he wanted to live closer to his hometown again. In Minden he plays in the A-Jugend-Bundesliga and for the second team in the 3rd division . For the 2017/18 season he received a professional contract for the Bundesliga team, for which he made his debut as a youth player on November 18, 2015 against Bayer Dormagen in the 2nd Bundesliga . In February 2016 he was withdrawn in an A-Youth Game against HSG Handball Lemgo the cruciate ligament , but was still less already in December 2016 for the first time in the squad of the German youth national team appointed ten months later. However, he did not play his first international match until March 19, 2017 on the occasion of the DHB handball day in the Barclaycard Arena in Hamburg against Israel.
