Joscha Ritterbach (born January 31, 1994 in Lengerich ) is a German handball player who currently plays for the German Bundesliga club GWD Minden .

Career

Ritterbach first played in the youth of HSG Hohne / Lengerich, before moving to TV Emsdetten as a C youth and to TBV Lemgo in 2012 . In the 2012/13 and 2013/14 seasons he was part of the first team of TBV Lemgo for the handball Bundesliga for a few games , and also made a few short appearances there. Otherwise he played in the 2nd team of the TBV in the 3rd division . From the 2014/15 season, the 1.82-meter-tall left winger was part of the 2nd Bundesliga team of ASV Hamm-Westphalia . There, the Lengerich-born quickly became a regular in his position and the audience favorite of ASV fans. In the summer of 2017 he switched to the Bundesliga club Frisch Auf Göppingen and joined GWD Minden for the 2019/20 season .

Ritterbach belonged to the squad of the German youth national team, for which he played 3 international matches, in which he scored 5 goals. The youth national team won the bronze medal at the U-19 World Cup in 2013 . In the German junior national team, he then played 20 international junior matches and scored 67 goals. At the Junior World Championships in 2015 he won bronze with the German team.
