Leon Grabenstein (born November 28, 1999 ) is a German handball player .

Career

The goalkeeper initially played for HVE Villigst-Ergste in his youth. As a B-youth he played for the club in the 2015/16 season in the A-youth Bundesliga . After moving to GWD Minden in 2016 , he played in this division for two more years. Per second game right he collected from September to November 2017 have experience at senior level for the Soest TV in Oberliga Westfalen . In 2018 he had outgrown the youth division and has been playing for the second team of GWD Minden in the 3rd division since then . Since two of the Bundesliga team's goalkeepers, Espen Christensen and Maurice Paske, were canceled due to injury, Grabenstein celebrated his Bundesliga debut on April 27, 2019 in the away game at MT Melsungen . He has been a permanent part of the professional squad since the 2019/20 season.
