Espen Heggli Christensen (born June 17, 1985 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian handball goalkeeper .
career
Christensen started his career in Norway at Sola HK and Stavanger Håndball. In 2006 he moved to Heimdal HK in Trondheim. In the course of his studies in environmental sciences at Lund University , he played for H 43 Lund from 2008 . In 2012 Christensen moved to LUGI HF within the Swedish Elitserien and in 2015 to GOG Håndbold in Denmark in the Håndboldligaen . From the 2017/18 season he played for GWD Minden in the Bundesliga . In the summer of 2020 he joined the Swedish first division club IFK Kristianstad .
He made his debut in the national team on July 19, 2012 and became Vice World Champion with her in 2017 and 2019 . Christensen had previously played for Norway at the 2016 European Championship (4th place). So far, he has played a total of three youth and 109 senior internationals.
