Sophia of Liegnitz

Sophia von Liegnitz (* 1525 ; † February 6, 1546 ) was a daughter of Duke Friedrich II of Liegnitz, Brieg and Wohlau and Princess Sophie of Brandenburg-Ansbach , daughter of Margrave Friedrich the Elder of Brandenburg-Ansbach and Bayreuth .

Sophia, who was educated as a Protestant, was married to Elector Johann Georg von Brandenburg on February 15, 1545 . She died a few days after the birth of their son Joachim Friedrich (1546–1608), his father's successor as Elector of Brandenburg.
