Sophie Løhde (born September 11, 1983 in Herning ) is a Danish politician for the Venstre party and was Minister for Health and Seniors in the Lars Løkke Rasmussen II government . In the Lars Løkke Rasmussen III government , she was Minister for Public Innovation.

After graduating from school in Frederiksborg in 2002 , Sophie Løhde studied business economics and company communication at Copenhagen Business School from 2004 to 2007 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree . She then worked briefly in a management consultancy . During her studies she worked as an advisor to the MP Michael Aastrup .

In 2007 Løhde moved into the Folketing , the Danish parliament, as a member of the Venstre party . From 2011 to 2015 she was her party's spokesperson for health policy issues , before that she was spokesperson for education and prevention as well as for Faroe Islands affairs (2007–2010) and spokesperson for municipal affairs (2010–2011). In the Løkke Rasmussen II cabinet, she was Minister for Health and Seniors from 2015 to 2016.
