Sorcha Cusack

Sorcha Cusack [ ˈsɔɾəxə ˈkjuːzæk ] (born April 9, 1949 in Dublin ) is an Irish actress .

Life

Sorcha Cusack was born in Dublin to the actors and actresses Cyril Cusack and Maureen Cusack . She is the sister of actresses Sinéad Cusack and Niamh Cusack and the half sister of Catherine Cusack . She is married to actor Nigel Cooke . The couple have two children, a son and a daughter. Beth Cooke is also an actress.

Cusack began her career in 1973 with the lead role in the mini-series Jane Eyre , and since then she has appeared in numerous television series and films as well as feature films. She is best known for her roles as Kate Wilson in the television series Casualty (1994–1997) and as Mrs McCarthy in the television series Father Brown (2013–2019). In Guy Ritchie's Snatch - Pigs and Diamonds , she embodied the mother of Mickey, the crook played by Brad Pitt. Cusack is also active as a stage actress.
