Soro is a small town in the Indian state of Odisha .
The city is part of the Baleswar district . Soro has the status of a Notified Area Committee . The city is divided into 19 wards . It had a total of 32,531 inhabitants on the cut-off date of the 2011 census, of which 16,628 were men and 15,903 women. Hindus form the largest group of the city's population with a share of approx. 79%, followed by Muslims with approx. 21%. The literacy rate in 2011 was 79.25%.
The city is connected to the national rail network by a train station. Soro is also connected to the rest of Odisha and India by a national highway.
