The Sato is a tributary of the Niger in Benin .

course

The river has its source in the north of Benin, in the Borgou department on the border with Nigeria and is one of 4 larger rivers that drain Benin into Niger. It flows in a northerly direction and takes in the rivers Bouli and Tassiné in its course . The Sato flows into the Niger at Malanville . In the last few kilometers the river has changed its course and the exact route is difficult to understand due to the multitude of meander loops and oxbow lakes.

Hydrometry

The flow rate of the river was measured in m³ / s at the Couberi gauge, about 30 km before the mouth
