The Sotos Point ( Spanish Punta Sotos ) is a headland of Greenwich Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It lies on the south bank of Discovery Bay and borders Montecinos Cove to the east .
Scientists of the 4th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1949–1950) named them after participants of the research trip. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee translated the name into English in 2005.
