Souto is a place and a former municipality ( Freguesia ) in the northern Portuguese district of Arcos de Valdevez . 622 inhabitants lived in the community (as of June 30, 2011).
On September 29, 2013, the municipalities of Souto and Tabaçô were merged to form the new municipality of União das Freguesias de Souto e Tabaçô . Souto is the seat of this newly formed community.
