One Voice is a gospel song by the American singer Brandy . The song appeared on the singer's second studio album, Never Say Never from 1998.

The pop anthem, written by Gordon Chambers and Phil Galdston and produced by David Foster , served as the official theme song for the 50th anniversary of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) in 1999 , on which it was also named UNICEF that same year Ambassador acted. Brandy performed with gospel veteran Hezekiah Walker and his Hezekiah Walker Choir at the 1999 Soul Train Awards to sing the song live. Her father and gospel singer Willie Norwood provides the background vocals for the ballad. The song was also performed at the Stellar Awards.

criticism

One Voice was generally well received by the critics, according to JD Considine of Entertainment Weekly , "that there are moments [on the Never Say Never album ], such as the gospel number One Voice , in which she effortlessly shakes the house able ". The Billboard Files names the song as one of the highlights of the album and Hip Hop Reviews sees the song as the embodiment of the R&B slowjams of the 1990s.
