Full Moon (song)
Full Moon is a song by the American contemporary R&B singer Brandy . The mid-tempo track was written and produced by Mike City for the studio album of the same name from 2002. On June 12, the title track was released as the third single from the album.
Music video
The music video for the single was directed by Chris Robinson . Spread over two days of shooting, on March 1st and 2nd, the film was filmed in various locations in Los Angeles . Brandy was heavily pregnant at the time of the video shoot and therefore does not dance in the video, which also includes the model and actor Yoki Brown as Brandy's crush. The final version of the clip was celebrated on March 28, 2002 on MTV's TRL .
The video begins with a focus on Brandy observing a man on the balcony at night through a telescope as he arrives at a house party in the neighboring house. The singer has pinned up hair, a white pearl necklace, blue jeans and a dark top with bat sleeves. Moved - now Brandy is wearing a beige maternity dress - she drives a silver convertible along the coast to the house party. There she casts an eye on the man with long tied dreadlocks (Brown) and begins to flirt with him. Towards the end of the video, he follows her into the car. In that one they drive along the coast again to stop in front of the setting moon in the final scene.
Charts and chart placements
Very few promotional dates, such as appearances on talk shows or radio interviews - due to Brandy's current pregnancy with daughter Sy'rai - did not cause the Full Moon to be as successful as the previous singles Another Day in Paradise and What About Us? was. The single reached top 20 placements on the US Billboard Hot 100 and the Billboard Hot R & B / Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and number 15 in the UK single charts
